Injectable protocols are highly effective — and administering them at home is straightforward once you know the steps. Here are answers to the most common questions we receive.
The two most common injection methods are subcutaneous (subQ) and intramuscular (IM). All Verum Health protocols use subcutaneous unless your prescription specifically states otherwise.
Needle tip in fatty tissue.
45° angle. Used for all Verum protocols.
Needle tip into muscle tissue.
90° angle. Not used unless prescribed.
All Verum Health injectable protocols are subcutaneous unless your prescription specifically states otherwise.
Small, thin needle into the fatty tissue just under the skin. Recommended sites: abdomen, back of upper arm, or flank.
Longer needle injected directly into muscle tissue. Not used for Verum Health protocols unless your prescription explicitly indicates it.
Drawing up your dose is simpler than it looks. The mental hurdle is the hardest part — once you've done it once, it's second nature.
Always follow the instructions on your prescription label exactly as written. Your prescribing physician sets your specific dose and frequency during your consultation based on your health profile and protocol goals. Do not adjust your dose without first consulting your physician. If anything on your prescription label is unclear, contact info@verumhealthmed.com before administering.
Following an aseptic (sterile) technique is essential to prevent infection. Follow these steps every time:
No. Never reuse needles or syringes — not on yourself, and never share with another person. A new, sterile needle and syringe must be used for every injection. Reusing needles increases your risk of infection and degrades injection accuracy due to blunting. In the words of the CDC: "One Needle, One Syringe, Only One Time."
You can purchase additional insulin syringes and needles from any local pharmacy — Walgreens, CVS, HEB, and most grocery store pharmacies carry them over the counter. Look for 28–31 gauge, 1/2" insulin syringes, which are the standard for subcutaneous peptide injections. If you're unsure which size to get, contact our support team and we'll confirm the right needle for your protocol.
Proper sharps disposal protects your household and your community. Always use an FDA-cleared sharps container — never a regular trash can.
